Penile Implant: Twelve Inch Mutton Dagger

Got ED with diabetes and considering surgical options?

There are 2 devices which are surgical remedies for ED. These two devices involve implantations in the body. The simplest type of  implant consists of a pair of malleable rods surgically implanted in the penis.  This type of implant is  usually advised for men with spinal cord injuries and limited hand strength or either condition. On the face of it, such a device may not necessarily be suitable for a diabetic with ED.

The second type of penile implant ( or prosthesis) consists of a reservoir and a pump, which are placed surgically in the body. They are inserted in the penis and connected by tubing to a separate reservoir of saline. The reservoir is implanted under the rectus muscles. A pump is put under the scrotal sac between the testicles.

To inflate the prosthesis during lovemaking, one of the lovers presses on the pump. The pump transfers saline from the reservoir to the cylinders in the penis, inflating them and causing an erection. Pressing on a deflation valve at the base of the pump returns the fluid to the reservoir, deflating the penis and returning it to the normal flaccid state. For some reason, this device may not result in adequate erections in some men. It is best to discuss all the choices with the doctor.

If surgery is recommended for a diabetic person,  blood sugar levels must be under control. If the diabetic person is not following all the protocols of healthy living, diet, sleeping and exercise, then  surgery is too risky.  Real lifestyle changes are required with special focus on intimacy to ease the erectile dysfunction symptom in diabetic men.
