Paris Climate Change Conference (Paris CCC).
Paris CCC experts are telling us to stop eating meat. Becoming vegetarian will help save the planet! Too much methane gas is produced when cattle are reared for beef and dairy products. This industry is 14.5 % responsible for annual greenhouse gas emissions.
If we need to alter our lifestyle, our diets and eat less meat, there are ways of making our meals delicious. Diabetics need to be hyper-aware of their diets in order to keep themselves healthy. They do not need to be distracted by the tantalizing smell of unhealthy foods placed in their shopping malls.
Global reduction in the consumption of beef and dairy products will be good for diabetics, the planet and for human health. Beef and dairy products are high in calories and fat content. The current over-supply and easy-availability of fast food beef hamburgers with cheese make over-eating of calories so easy.
The obesity and diabetes pandemic will also be reduced if food production patterns are re-configured. Goat meat is not yet so popular but India has pledged to produce high quantities as a world substitute for beef. The benefit of goat is that it is a lean meat and has high flavor. Some Americans are trying to invent a vegetarian hamburger which will smell like beef when it is grilled.
It is worth making the effort to change eating habits and production of food for the sake of the greater good and greater health of the greater number. Paris CCC fall-out unfolds.
