Need A Target For Your Insufferable Nagging. Is Your Best Friend a Target For Diabetes?

Is Your Best Friend a Target of Diabetes
No More ‘Sadi-betes’
What do you do when you encounter the fact that your best friend in college is diabetic – as we are all aware that this is not an impossible situation. Teenage diabetes is not a very rare situation anymore and as a friend you would also have a very important role to play in helping the patient.
Be very calm and patient and deal very emotionally with the diabetic. Talk to them about the disease, just enough not to make them uncomfortable or self-conscious. Be a patient listener whenever they want to confide their feelings and changes they are going through emotionally and physically. Be normal with the patient, make sure that diabetes does not become the only topic of discussion between you and your friend. Encourage your friend to live a healthy lifestyle, plan exercise routines together, go for peaceful walks and avoid planning too many meals at restaurants, it might make them more comfortable not to encounter situations like this.

We can dia-beat-this!
Very importantly do not pinpoint their shortcomings in front of other peers as it might be very discomforting to them as usually patients suffering from diabetes at this age would be very vulnerable to a lot issues. So be very discreet about passing any careless comments, all-in-all be a friend in need is a friend indeed!
